Every year, it seems like summer ends, the holidays fly by - one after another - and then I blink and it's a new year. My family had a challenging 2014 so the holidays lacked some previous traditions. To uphold the spirit, I carried-on new ones, hosting the second annual Mistletoe Mingler, caroling again with the Polish club in my neighborhood and spending the post-Christmas weekend with my closest friend from Colorado. For me, this time of year is about family, friends (who are family), relaxation and reflection. I hope everyone is enjoying this season in whatever way makes you happy. I now look forward to a few winter months, with the hope of snow, fires on cold nights and some upcoming ski trips. Happy new year.
