Festival Season!

I'll be vending at Mountain Jam this year in the campsite area. So if you're going, stop by the Byrdie booth! The festival scene has exploded over the last 5 years; it seems like there's a concert every weekend with some big name headliners. I'll also have a booth setup at Hot August Music Festival at Oregon Ridge State Park later this summer.

I went to DelFest in western Maryland last weekend with a handful of friends for 4 days of perfect weather and bluegrass. Being my first year at DelFest, I wasn't sure what to expect. It was such a family-friendly event with a smaller crowd than I had anticipated - although I still ran into oodles of good friends. I'll definitely be back next year. Below are some pictures from the weekend.

Vintage Beauty

I passed this gorgeous Carmengia on a walk through Baltimore. In a bright pastel green, it reminded me of spring on one of the first days the temperature (finally) reached above 60 degrees. I've always been a VW fan, dreaming of one day driving an old Bug, Carmengia, Cabriolet or Thing. My dad has owned 13 Volkswagens over the years in several different models. I dug up the old photo at the end of this post of him lifting me into our VW Bus when I was 2 years old, in my white lacy bonnet on Bond Street in Fells Point (Baltimore). After close examination, I'm pretty sure there's a a trail of dog poop behind me in the photo.
